Heading in from outside time this morning!
Our morning message today reminded us that we sing our songs tomorrow in church! We are very excited to sing together in God's House at the 5:00 pm church service at Zion: ) We will meet at 4:45-4:50ish in the church lobby/north-ex and sing at the very beginning of the service. The children will be dismissed to their parents after we sing!
At circle we imagined we had a pet dinosaur and read
How Dinosaurs Say Good Night.
After the story we voted on whether we would want to own a pet dinosaur.
Our decision was split on whether we would want a dinosaur as a pet. Ask your child if they wanted a pet dinosaur or not at circle this morning. Continue the discussion by asking them why.
We worked together to make a dinosaur mural at centers.
We also drew a picture of a pet dinosaur and named the dinosaur.
We also excavated dinosaur bones( chocolate chips) from the earth (chocolate chip cookies) like paleontologist do.
We predicted the number we would find and counted how many bones we extracted before we ate our cookie!
We worked hard sounding out and writing the names of our pet dinosaurs!

At Jesus time we acted our Jesus story.
Mary and Martha were preparing for Jesus to arrive at their house by cleaning and preparing food.
When Jesus arrived Mary stopped what she was doing to listen to Jesus and God's word.

Martha continued cleaning and cooking.
Martha became angry with Mary because she wasn't helping but Jesus told Martha not to worry and that Mary was actually doing what he wanted. Jesus wants us to stop what we are doing even when our lives are busy and listen/ learn from God's word!
