Christmas Fun: Thursday

                                                        Enjoying outside before chapel!

Mrs. Hoehner led chapel... She talked about angels with us. She shared how angels delivered the news of Jesus' birth.
She also reminded us to be messengers and deliver the news of Jesus' birth and that Jesus loves you with one another during Christmas break.

At circle we read a book about celebrating Jesus' birthday. We then took turns saying, Happy Birthday while holding our baby Jesus. We ended the circle time singing Happy Birthday!

We made stem Christmas trees with straws and play dough at centers.

We also played Christmas nativity bingo.

At Jesus time we talked about the journey the wisemen took following the star to see Baby Jesus. We also talked about how they brought baby Jesus gifts. We then followed a star in our classroom like the wisemen did... after our walk discussed what kind of gifts we would give baby Jesus.

Christmas Fun: Wednesday

This December weather has been wonderful!

Mrs. Haun came and visited us.

She read Christmas books to us!

She also shared a special Christmas take home activity with us. Check your child's backpack this afternoon!

We made letter J Jesus patterns at centers.
We also finished painting our Christmas trees using q-tips, paint and glitter.

And last but not least we really enjoyed making reindeer food at centers! Make sure you grab this activity out of your Child's backpackso your family can sprinkle it on the lawn Christmas Eve: )

Building Christmas trees and wrapping Christmas gifts in the block area.

At Jesus time we read, I See the Nativity! We did a great job reading the book together out loud as a class.
I didn't even have to read it with them the second time..they read it aloud all on their own. Way to go, Friends: )
