The Dot Project with the Fifth Graders: Friday

Today at morning message we talked about how the fifth graders were going to visit us and do a special project with us.

Our calendar helper counting the 29 days of January. We talked about how next week is already a new month. Ask your child what month comes after January.

Our meteorologist predicted a sunny day!

Enjoying the beautiful weather outside today!

The fifth graders came and watched, The Dot with us on the smart board.

After watching The Dot we grouped together with the fifth graders to participate in different activities throughout the classroom. Some of first started creating/ painting our own dots together.

We all talked about what we love about our school and wrote the different things we said on our dot. The fifth graders helped us write, "We Love Zion Because..." .

We also built together in the block area....

sold hot chocolate to one another in dramatic play

and played with the light table!

                                                          Everyone had a great time!

Make sure to check out our dots next week. They will be hanging in the hallway!

At Jesus time we acted out the Good Samaritan!

We all cheered when the Good Samaritan helped the hurt man.
We went on to discuss the importance of being like the Good Samaritan and showing  kindness to one another.
