Gingerbread Man: Monday

We started the morning off with free play in the commons!

We started circle with a gingerbread man song on the smart board.
The song tells the story of the gingerbread man...it has a catchy tune. The kids sang it all day!
Check out the link and sing it with your child.

Alphabet helpers leading us in singing our Abc's and letter sounds.

Our calendar helper leading us in counting the 30 days of November!
Our meteorologist said it was going to be a rainy and cloudy day.
Our morning message read, Happy Advent. We talked about how during advent we are awaiting for the birth of Jesus.
We also had a christmas  present to open this morning to kick off our advent week.

We were very curious to see what the present was...
We opened the gift and were super excited to find a nativity set!

We discussed why we have a nativity set to play with during the advent season... our answer was to get ready to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus...what a great answer: )

We loved playing with our new nativity set. While playing with the nativity we talked about Jesus' birth and all who came to visit Jesus.

Waiting for gingerbread cookies to bake in the oven. My friends decided to stand and guard the oven so the gingerbread cookies wouldn't escape like the sneaky gingerbread man did: )Good thinking, friends!

We had fun pretending to make and eat the yummy cookies.

We also worked hard on our Christmas Matching game at centers.

Thanksgiving: Friday

At morning message we learned that it is good to give thanks for Jesus!
Alphabet helper leading us in the Abc song!

Outside Fun

                                                                           Snack time

                                                                     calendar helper
                                                                        our meteorologist
At circle we sat in chairs and pretended to bake a pumpkin pie.... We also learned a fun pumpkin pie song.

We made our own pumpkin pies with the lyrics to the song we learned at circle.
The song is to the tune of "Peanut Butter and Jelly". Sing the song with your child. It's super FUN!

We also painted a turkey with a Thanksgiving prayer .
The prayer says, "Thank you God for everything-  for Family, Friends and Fun. But most of all  for Jesus, my Savior and your Son!" Say this prayer with your child over Thanksgiving Break as a reminder of all the blessings God provides for us in our lives. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
