Final Wednesday

Our Last Day!

Mrs. Medrano led us in singing "In the Middle,"
one of the songs the children enjoy.

We loved introducing, "GoNoodle" to Mrs. Medrano,
since when we were walking outside it started to rain.
Doing "Milkshake"

After this we forgot about the camera!
We were having such a great time being with friends,
playing inside and outside,
cleaning up the room, and
just having Mrs. Medrano with us.

We said a special good-bye to seven more children heading to kindergarten.

We know they are really ready for kindergarten!
We will miss them!
We want them to know Jesus loves them forever, no matter what!

Final Tuesday

A Fun Castle Complete with Flags

Outdoor Play Before Chapel
A Couple of Guys Heading to the Fair

For chapel we sang our way through the school year. Each class led the singing of one of the monthly chapel songs.
Our class sang, "Jesus Loves Me."
Mrs. Haun reminded us that when we come back to school next year, it will be different.
We know Jesus won't be different. He stays the same.

After snack, our "circle time" was outside.
We had a great time playing with balls and blowing bubbles.

When we came back inside, the little ones were just exhausted!

But, they perked up for some free choice time.
Of course, this had to include some doctor/patient play.

Another beautiful day for an outdoor picnic

We said goodbye to three more children today.
All of them will be in kindergarten in the fall.
We wish them many blessings!
We also want them to know Jesus loves them no matter what!

Final Monday

The weather for our final Monday was gorgeous.
The forecast for the next couple of days in questionable,
so we took advantage of being outside.

Our first outdoor experience - the big kid playground

The next outdoor time was playing with plastic baseballs on the big field.

We stopped by the nest to capture an update.
This morning's photo revealed sad news. The eggs are gone.
Since we won't be able to see the babies,
we came inside and watched a video of a mommy robin taking care of a baby robin as it hatched.

And finally we enjoyed a picnic lunch with Mrs. Rouland's class that included an ice cream treat.

Thank you, Mrs. Haun, for arranging such a yummy delight!

Our indoor experiences included some of our favorite activities.

Block area creations and ...

more gentle care for patients.

Our Bible story this week is Jesus blessing the children,
an important story for children to hold in their hearts.
Jesus tells the children to come to him and he blesses them.

Final Friday

Seven Busy Children on our Final Friday

We didn't let a few rain puddles stop us from going outside this morning.

Instead, we enjoyed the climber, ...

practiced our leaping skills, and ...

sorted rocks.

While inside,
we read library books,

played doctor/hospital again,
listened to the CD recording of A Home for Bird by Philip C. Stead,
and finished reading Heaven and Earth by Joan Hutson.

Final Thursday

Before chapel - getting our wiggles out

Chapel today led by Mrs. Lail and her kindergarten class
We want to remember to share the Good News boldly.
The litany this month is about heaven.
During our Jesus time, we read Heaven and Earth and talked about how heaven is different than being on earth. The children definitely had many ideas about this topic!

A little more outside time as some children search for earthworms.

A little cupcake celebration for James and Elliot

 More amazing center time activities

At circle, we read My Friend is Sad, another Mo Willems' book.

Wonderful Play Experiences

A Wonderful Wednesday
We give the weather a huge thumbs up!

The indoor and outdoor environments provided the children with a wide range of activities today.

During arrival time, they manipulated play dough.
This experience encourages the development of fine motor skills as well as engages their imagination.

This team engineered a couple of ramps.
They developed their social skills as they worked together.

The rain stopped and we headed outside!
What a wonderful time we had!

The bikes were such fun!

Due to the rain,
a group of children noticed the rain water standing in the small water table.

The first step of the experience was washing the dirt off of weeds that were easily pulled from around the water table. Soon many rocks were being added and the clear water was changing.

To support their experience the table was moved to the rock pit.
They mixed the rocks with the water and created soup.

Our indoor experiences

Our hospital is very busy.
The doctors treated a broken wrist, arms, and many broken hearts.
They also performed brain surgery.
Patients receive sleep medicine and many shots.

One of the patients delivered a baby
with the support of many helpful medical professionals.

Back outside for a bit before lunch

During circle times,
we read Should I Share My Ice Cream by Mo Willems
and reviewed the sounds of the letters d, w, n, and e.

During Jesus time,
we remember all the times Jesus healed people's hurts.
We know He heals our hurts as well.
