Week of the Young Child - Movie Monday

And Pajama Day

We had a great time today wearing our pajamas. It's just a fun day!

When the children arrived, they were busy checking on our chrysalises and bean plants.

In the morning only one butterfly had emerged from its chrysalis.
When we left at 3:00, we had four butterflies.
Hopefully, the last one will emerge before we arrive back at school tomorrow.

These boys are being scientists and examining the growth of our bean plants over the weekend.
It looks like their plants will be sprouting soon.

They also completed a new puzzle which shows the life cycle of a butterfly.

When the flow of the day was shared, everyone was very excited about the movie.
We practiced doing a "silent scream" when we are really excited about something.
(Still very fun, but not quite as loud.)

After choosing jobs for the day, we walked over to the Fellowship Hall to watch Veggie Tales "Where's God When I'm Scared?" We loved the song, "God is Bigger Than the Boogie Man."

Mrs. Haun is introducing the movie.

Now we've settled in to enjoy the show.

Some of the songs are just too fun.
You have to stand up and dance.

Today's center time is a secret.

Our Bible story this week is Jesus' ascension.
Mrs. Lohman told the story uses a special fold and tell poster.
