At circle we played catch the reindeer.
We each took a turn catching a reindeer and identifying the letter and sound on our reindeer!
After we all caught different reindeer we named some of our reindeers using the letter of the reindeer as the first letter in his name. For example the W reindeer we named Woody! Our friends had a lot of fun naming the different reindeer :)
At centers we continued to play our catch that reindeer game!
We also painted Christmas trees.
We had Jesus time in the dark and pretended to be the shepherds in the fields on Christmas night. We thought it was really cool when the lights flashed on and off when angels appeared to us to share the good news of baby Jesus being born.
Each friend was partnered up and pretended to be angels delivering the good news to the shepherds.
We talked about how excited the shepherds were to hear the best news ever from the angels.
