We wrote out Christmas cards to family and friends this morning!

At circle time we read,
The Hat by Jan Brett. This story is about how a winter stocking kept a hedge hog warm. After the story we played a game identifying different Christmas objects in a stocking.
No peaking was allowed...we had to use our listening ears and hands to explore and guess the different objects.
Ask your child if they remember what objects they identified in the stocking!
We continued to wrap Christmas gifts at centers. We can't wait to share the special Christmas gifts we made for our parents!

At Jesus time Zippy shared that he is sometimes scared of the dark. We reminded him to not be afraid because God is with us and that God has actually done some pretty spectacular things in the dark.
I talked about the multitude of Angels sharing the good news of Jesus being born to shepherds on Christmas night.
Ask your child how they think the shepherds felt when they saw Baby Jesus on Christmas night ?
