Spring - Caterpillar Observations

What a busy day we had!

In the morning everyone gave a jelly bean estimate again. The estimates were very close today.

Chapel
We were so grateful for the leadership of the third graders this morning. They shared their love of Jesus so beautifully.

We were reminded that Jesus gives us all we need.

Caterpillar observations - Our caterpillars are growing so fast!
We have noticed in the last week the caterpillars and the habitat have changed a lot!

These are the children's observations.

Their food used to be flat and smooth, and it looked like peanut butter. Now it's all bumpy with little crumbs. There's poop inside.

The caterpillars have fur. They have spikes. They were little, then medium, then big. They are getting longer. They have built spider webs. They look like they are talking. They are moving. The caterpillars have hair, but worms don't.

Our ABC Helper
She did a great time showing us a letter and everyone said, "The ___ says ___.
Every letter makes a sound. The ___ says ___."

Outside
Because of chapel and the weather, we went outside after snack today. While outside, we noticed a fuzzy worm. Some of the children touched it. Then we put it back into the grass.

Center Time
This section of our day was so full today. It was so wonderful to observe their interactions with one another.

This group worked so hard building today.
The picture just doesn't show all the detail.
And they did put everything back on the
shelves at clean up time.

The color blocks are providing
the children with an opportunity to create patterns.
She was quite proud of her creation!
And then we cleaned up and we were off to lunch!
