Spring Joy!

Today's arrival time

The children quickly found their friends and started playing.

Some started creating with materials in the creating corner. The most common creations were jelly fish and long designs with colored paper.

We absolutely loved our outside time. It was definitely hard to come inside.

During our circle time, we talked about our caterpillars that arrived yesterday. We read a book about butterflies and learned two fancy words, metamorphosis and proboscis.

We were ready for free choice time and a chance for six more children to complete jelly bean math.
(Six more children are still waiting to do their work and eat jelly beans.)

During centers, these two worked together to create a garden.

This amazing creation is an underwater boat.
The red bricks are the gas and guns.
The white buckets are the motors.
The small wooden blocks were used as walkie talkies.

After a busy center time, we opened our Jesus time singing "Jesus Lives!"

Their joy for Jesus overflowed as they danced in circles with their friends.
We acted out the Easter story one more time before heading back outside.

What a day of spring joy we had!
