Today at morning message we talked about how God gives us rules to follow.

Our calendar helper introducing us to our new month! It's hard to believe that it is already November.
Our meteorologist predicted a sunny and windy day outside.
At circle we introduced our Firefighter theme by looking at a firefighter poster. The poster reminded us that Firefighters are community helpers who keep us safe. Ask your child about what they learned from the poster. We identified the different clothing and equipment the firefighters use. We also looked at a firetruck up close!
We worked together to created mat man for the month of November.
We decided to give mat man a firefighter hat to wear since we are learning about firefighters this week!
After building mat man with the handwriting without tears lines and curves we all drew our individual mat man.
We drew mat man using big and little lines as well as big and little curves.
We all worked hard drawing the different body parts of mat man step by step.
When we build and draw mat man we are listening for different purposes, using our fine motor skills with purpose and control and writing as a means of expression and communication
After our mat man activity we had fun driving fire trucks at centers.
We also made a fire truck on the carpet and sang songs about fire trucks, fire and firefighters.
We even sang a few songs with the smart board.
At Jesus time Zippy the puppet came and visited. He shared with us how he gets super frustrated about rules in his life. We reminded him that rules keep us safe and help us learn. We went on to further talk about the rules God gives us called commandments. We will discuss the Ten Commandments in further detail throughout the week.
