Firefighters and Thanksgiving: Tuesday

Our morning message this morning was, "We're taking a virtual field trip to a firehouse on the smart board!"
Our helper leading us in the alphabet and letter sounds song.

Enjoying another beautiful November day outside with friends.

Our calendar helper leading us in counting the nine days of November!
Our meteorologist predicted a partly sunny day outside.
Getting ready for our virtual field trip to the fire station on the smart board.

After watching the field trip video on the smart board. We identified some of our favorite parts of the field trip. Some enjoyed exploring the inside and outside of the fire truck, learning about the stop, drop and roll fire safety rule and seeing the inside of the fire house and where the fire fighters rest.

We loved playing with our new manipulatives for the light table. We did a great job sharing with one another.

At centers we pretended to be firefighters at the fire station. We made food for one another and then received a call to go put out a fire!

We also completed our November interviews. We were asked our name, how old we are, our friends in class, our favorite thing to do at school and our favorite bible story.

We also finished our Turkey Handprint Thanksgiving Feast Table Cloths.... We can't wait to use them!

At Jesus time we learned about the bronze snake. We learned that there were snakes biting the  Israelites in the desert. God protected the Israelites by ordering Moses to put a bronze snake on a pole. And if the Israelites were bit by a snake they just had to look at the bronze snake on the pole and were healed. We talked about how God keeps us safe just like he did with the Israelites.
