Firefighters and Thanksgiving: Wednesday

Today our morning message said, "Today is Veterans Day!"

Outside Fun on this windy day!

Our calendar helper for the day
Our meteorologist said it was a windy day. He also reminded us that it might rain later!
At circle we talked more about Veterans Day. We also made a chart talking about the different characteristics soldiers have.
We decided that soldiers were brave, tough and strong. We also think they have cool boots and uniforms.

After talking about soldiers we recited the Pledge of Allegiance. We took turns holding the American Flag.

We made one more table cloth for the Thanksgiving Feast. We identified different blessings we are thankful for.
We also cut feathers for our November Turkey Cutting Assessment.

                                                 Firefighters cooking in the firehouse.

At Jesus time we acted out the different feelings and behaviors of the Israelites. We talked about how they forgot to be thankful for all the amazing things God blessed them with.

When the Israelites started to be bit by snakes they remembered to pray to God for help. After they prayed for help God told Moses to build a bronze snake.
If the Israelites were bitten they just needed to look at the snake and God healed them from the snake bite. God is Good!
