Fairytales: Wednesday

Today at morning message we worked on identifying different emotions.

We all picked different emotion cards and had our friends guess how we were feeling based on our faces.

Different emotions we identified were sad, happy, confused, silly and mad.
Ask your child what emotion they acted out!
Our alphabet helper leading us in singing the letter sounds song.

                                                       Bundled up for outside time!

We had a special Little Red Riding Hood sitting in chairs.

Our calendar helper counting the six days of January!
Our meteorologist predicted a windy and cold day.
After reading Little Red Riding Hood we pretended to walk through the forest to deliver food to grandma. We made sure to stay on the path and most importantly not talk to strangers!

We also were on the lookout for the big bad wolf!!!! Luckily, we didn't run into him. We think we stayed safe because we followed the rule of staying on the path and not talking to strangers :)

At centers we continued to make our God's Little Prince and Princess Crowns.

We also continued drawing different fairy tale characters onto our castle mural!
Acting out Little Red Riding Hood with our friends was also a big hit at centers.

We identified a circle, square, triangle and rectangle while creating shape castles.
We took the activity a step further and counted the number of circles, squares, rectangles and triangles. Our older friends wrote the number of each shape they used.

Working together to build some pretty awesome creations in the block area !
At Jesus time Zippy the puppet talked to us about how he visited a sick girl in the hospital. We then had a conversation about how God is always with us and provides us with medical care when we are ill or sick because he loves us.
