Winter: Friday

This morning we worked on a Welcome Sign for the Open House on Sunday!

At morning message we discussed the importance of wearing warm clothes in the cold weather.

Gross motor fun in the commons!

Our calendar helper leading us in counting the 22 days of January!
Our meteorologist predicted a cold, windy and snowy day.
At circle time we watched, The Snowy Day book on the smart board!
Check out the link and watch it with your child this weekend...
                                                                    The Snowy Day

At centers we worked on counting using one to one correspondence and writing numbers.
We worked hard on decorating our hot chocolate mugs.

After we decorated our mugs we rolled a number dice to help us decide how many marshmallows to put in our hot chocolate.

Our older friends worked hard on writing the correct number on the mug.
Our younger friends enjoyed counting the cotton balls (marshmallows) one by one!

At Jesus time Zippy came back to visit and shared all the food God provided for him at the grocery store. We then shared some of our favorite foods and thanked God for giving us such yummy foods to nourish our bodies.

Next week is National Lutheran Schools Week. There are several fun activities planned through the school day and special dress up days throughout the week. Monday will be Pajama Day! Check out more details in the reminder section of the newsletter.
