This morning our older friends continued working on writing their names with upper and lowercase letters.
At morning message we talked about what surprised means. We then identified different reasons for why someone might be surprise as well as what a persons face looks like when they are surprised.
My friend was so proud to share his environmental print page with his peers.

Our meteorologist said it was going to be a super cold and windy day. It is definitely cold out there...Brrr!
At the beginning of circle we watched a short video about Snow White.
After the video we acted out the story of Snow White together.
Snow White was a very kind and loving girl.
The Evil Queen had a magic mirror and would ask the mirror, " Mirror, Mirror on the wall....who is the fairest of them all ?"
The Evil Queen did not like that the mirror chose Snow White as the fairest of all so she sent a Hunter to get rid of Snow White.
Snow White convinced the Hunter to let her go...she promised to run away far in the woods so the Evil Queen would never see her again. Snow White found the Seven Dwarf's house to live in.
The Seven Dwarfs were away working when Snow White arrived at their house but when they returned home they were happy to have her live with them.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs became great friends. They all LOVED Snow White.
The Evil Queen asked the magic mirror again, "Mirror, mirror on the wall...who is the fairest of them all?" The mirror answered Snow White again. The Queen was so mad she decided to make a magic apple poisonous and used it to harm Snow White.
The Evil Queen convinced Snow White to take a bite of the apple. I reminded friends that we never talk or take anything from strangers at the point in the story!
When Snow White took a bite she fell fast asleep and did not wake up.
Everyone was soon SAD but one day a Prince came riding by on a horse and decided to help.
He gave her a kiss and she woke up...Everyone was so HAPPY!
Snow White and the Prince lived HAPPILY EVER AFTER!
At centers we performed a magic apple science experiment!
Before the experiment we were asked what we would do with a magic apple? Ask your child what they said...we came up with some pretty humorous responses: )
We drew a picture of what our apple looked like before the experiment.
We then predicted what would happen to the apple when we pour vinegar and baking soda in the apple.
Check out the result. We made an explosion emerge from the apple!
My friends were very excited about the explosion!!

At Jesus time Zippy was very sad because his aunt was sick. We told him to pray to God to heal his aunt. We then shared with him how God answers our prayers and can heal our family and friends.
We went on to talk about how Jesus healed a blind beggar.
Looking forward to another fun day of fairytales tomorrow. Please remember that Donuts for Dads starts at 7:00 am tomorrow in the church basement. Dads are welcome to join us for chapel. Please meet in the classroom tomorrow no later then 8:00 am so we can all walk over to chapel together!
