All About Me- Friday

Today we learned that God made us different and special. Our morning message today was, "God made me Special".

Each friend took a turn reading, God made me SPECIAL with the microphone! When we read our morning message every day we are using concepts of print, expanding our vocabulary and developing early reading skills!

We worked together to sing our alphabet, letter sound songs and count to 10 at circle time!
Outside Fun

At circle we also did a science experiment with baby powder and our fingers. We discovered all our fingerprints look different from one another and no one's is the same! Children are born with a desire to learn about and makes sense of the world. During this experiment we are working through and solving problems as active thinkers. Why are our fingerprints different?
Drawing self portraits on the dry erase board.

                                                         more I am special fingerprints....

Creating fingerprints in the dough...it was interesting to use  a magnifying glass and take a closer                 look at our prints!

Using our handwriting without tears lines and curves to create the first letter in our names.

Some of us really got into it... they wrote their names with the big lines, little lines, big curves and little curves.
Hope everyone has blessed weekend... see you next week.
