Our morning message was , "We are a part of God's Family!"
Our alphabet and letter sounds helper...Singing the alphabet and letter sounds song as a class every day helps us demonstrate knowledge of the alphabet by identifying and naming letters as well as teaches us letter sound knowledge.
Mrs. Haun visited our classroom and sang Hickety Pickety Bumble Bee. This was a fun song to help Mrs. Haun learn our names!
She also read us Mouse's first day of Preschool. We discovered that Mouse does a lot of the same things we do in preschool!
At centers we were able to use pointers to identify letters on the dry erase board.
We also found our names and figured out how many letters were in our names. During this activity we identified the letters in our name but also used number concepts and operations. We had so much fun finding and comparing our names... so much learning was going on also!
Using our handwriting without tears blocks in the block area. We worked really hard making different letters.
We also took pride making different creations with play dough and popsicle sticks.
Some of us created houses, letters, flowers. One of our favorite things to create was a birthday cake with candles.
Sitting at the Jesus table with our little lamb and reading the bible. The Jesus area provides the children for a space in the classroom to worship and praise God. This week we are working on learning that God made us and gave us people and our families to love, care and help each other!
Exploring Outside
At Jesus time today we learned about baptism and how we are all a part of God's Family!
We end the day with a class huddle celebrating a goal we met that day. Today we celebrated that we are a part of God's family!
