Pastor Rouland came to visit us at circle time. He read us a silly story. We loved it: )
Calendar helper counting what day of August it is! We did great counting all the way to 20.
Our Meteorologist for the day... he decided it was a suuuper SUNNY day outside.
We learned a new songs reinforcing the first letter in our name. Each friend got a turn to stand up when the first letter in their name was said. During this activity we applied early reading skills by using concepts of print, applying early reading skills and attending to sounds in language. We also used both speaking/expressive language.
At Centers we completed the colors of our rainbow while learning more about one another. We learned the color of our eyes, hair, shirt, shoes and our favorite color! We developed knowledge of our self and others during this activity.

We also had fun making ramps.
Making patterns and working on developing our fine motor muscles.
We played alphabet hop scotch. We tossed a pom pom on a letter. After we identified the letter we were able to jump through different letters in the alphabet.
Pretending to be a family in the kitchen and reading area.
We identified the different handwriting without tears lines and curves.
We sang tap our lines and the hokey pokey! During both songs we participated in different motions with our big lines and curves as well as out little lines and curves!
At Jesus time we talked about all the amazing things God created. Each friend took a turn saying something God created and we chanted, Praise God after. We really got into the chant. The excitement was AWESOME!
