All About Me: Week 2- Friday

                   Our morning message today was God made our bodies able to do AMAZING things!

                                Calendar helper leading us in counting the 21 days of August!

                                        Enjoying the gorgeous weather outside today!

 At circle time we worked together and made mat man with our handwritings without sticks. We identified the big line, little line as well as the big curve, little curve.

                                                  We then sang the mat man song  

                            
                While singing the song we each took turns placing a body part on mat man.

Look how GREAT our first mat man of the year turned  out! During this activity we are listening to receptive language( the mat man song) to help us build mat man. 

After building mat man together as a class we each drew our own individual mat men. We used the same steps to draw mat man as we did when putting mat man together with the song. We used big lines, little lines and big curves, little curves to draw our mat men. 

              While drawing our individual mat men we are using writing as a means of expression/                                                                              communication.

 We are also using symbolic development by representing our ideas in a variety of ways. All our mat men looked different!

                                            We all took great pride in drawing our mat man!

We also painted God made me pictures.

   Pretending to fly on a airplane and head to different vacation spots in the dramatic play area.

At Jesus time we played a game with the dice and doing different amazing body movements . After we performed the amazing movement we repeated, "God made our bodies able to do AMAZING things!"During this activity we acknowledge the amazing miracles and beauty of God's creation.
