Our morning message today was God knows everything about me because he made me.
Calendar helper discovered today was Monday, August 17th.
Singing our days of the week songs to help us figure out it's Monday!
Reading This is the Way We Go to School. This book is a great multicultural book talking about the ways different children around the world go to school. After the story we discussed how we go to school and then decided that no matter how we all go to school God helps keep us safe.
Alphabet puzzle: When we put the puzzle piece in the correct space we sang the sound of the letter!
Working on our fine motor muscles while sorting pom poms with tweezers in the sensory table.
Outside Fun on the Bikes
Dance Party to help us wake up on this Monday Morning!
Walking on our 'Balance Beam" with the Logs outside.
Name Game before centers. We rolled the ball to our new friends...Before rolling the ball we had to say the friends name we were rolling the ball to!
We had a very productive centers time. We measured how tall we were with string. Children flourish in a learning community where they can directly act on objects and interact with people. We made comparisons and measured how tall we were.
We even took the activity a step further and measured our friends.
We also participated in a Letter Find at centers. We pulled letters from mystery bags.
We identified the letter and then traced the letters we found in our mystery bags. During this activity we are demonstrating knowledge of the alphabet and also using writing as a means of expression because we are recording the mystery letters we found!Getting cozy with one another in the reading area. We were pretending to be a family reading our bed time story.
At Jesus time we learned that God took his time when he made us. He formed and made each one of us different and unique. We also learned that God is always watching over us and loves us no matter how we are feeling.
