Fall: Tuesday

                                                              Morning Free Play

We had chapel today in the commons!

Singing our theme song for the month, My God is so Great.

Pastor Rietz led chapel today and read the Tan Man.
This story was about the Good Samaritan.
Our offering helper sharing  our offering.

At morning message we talked about how leaves  fall from the trees during the fall season.

Our calendar helper and meteorologist for the day!
Our meteorologist forecasted a windy and cloudy day!
Our friend leading us in the letter sounds song.
At circle we read The Leaves are Falling Down. During the story we counted the number of leaves falling from the tree. We also sang the leaves are falling down to the tune of the "ants go marching one by one". Ask your child to sing the song for you. The book helped us work on counting one to one !
After the story we all took turns being a tree and making our leaves fall from our tree.

The leaves are falling from Will's tree... Hurray, Hurray!
We sang the song while the leaves fell from everyone's tree.

When we dropped the leaves we pretended the leaves performed different actions while they were falling to the ground.
Some of our leaves were spinning...
                                                               Others leaves twirled...
One leaf landed on our foot...
And one leaf even landed on a squirrel.

This activity was a great way to recall events from the story but also a fun way to expand our vocabulary and exhibit creativity.

At centers we painted fall colored leaves on our trees with q tips.
We built the letter T and also worked on writing the letter T.
We also read Five Little Pumpkins.

After the story we took turns drawing a gate( linear lines) and counting five pumpkins  one to one while putting pumpkins (stickers) on our gates.
