Pumpkins: Thursday

                                                           We had chapel this morning!

Mrs. Mudd talked about the Israelites traveling to the promise land this morning at chapel.

                                                               Our offering helper

Older friends leading the younger ones in singing," My God is so Great" while waiting to use the bathrooms.
Calendar helper counting the 22 days of October.
Our meteorologist forecasted a sunny day today.
At circle we explored and compared the outside/inside of a pumpkin.

Some of  words we used describe the outside of the pumpkin were hard, cold, has a stem, smooth and bumpy.

Words we came up with to describe the inside included squishy, gooey, yucky, cold and lots of seeds.

We continued to work on sequencing the life cycle of a pumpkin at centers.

We also explored the inside of the pumpkin on a deeper level.
We made sensory bags with the pumpkins guts/ seeds to. This allowed us to look at the seeds closer.

We also were very excited to feel the inside of the pumpkin and draw what we explored and felt.

                                                    Selling pumpkins in dramatic play.

Pumpkins for sale...Come pick a pumpkin! These friends set up a pumpkin patch and waited for their friends to pick and buy the pumpkins.

An older friend and Mr. Debrick came to visit. She read us There was an Old Lady who Swallowed some Leaves.

At Jesus time my friends helped tell how the Israelites crossed the Red Sea with God's help.
