Pumpkins Week 2: Monday

This morning at free play we gave our pumpkins play dough faces!

                                                      Enjoying the fall weather outside!

Our calendar helper leading us in counting the 26 days of October.
Our meteorologist predicted a sunny and windy day.
Our morning message reminded us that God provides us with what we need.

At circle time we read, The Biggest Pumpkin

After the story we compared the sizes of different pumpkins. We made comparisions about the pumpkins and put the pumpkins in order from the smallest to the largest pumpkin.

We then took turns identifying a small, medium or big pumpkin. After identifying the pumpkin we then took the activity a step farther and thought of something that was small, medium or big.

Ask your child what size pumpkin they pointed to? Also, have a conversation about things that are the size they identified :)

At centers time we washed pumpkins in the sensory table.

We also worked on writing our names at centers.

We made more  pumpkin faces with Mrs. Cruz. We created happy, sad and silly faces.

At Jesus time we learned about how God provided fot the Israelites in the desert. He gave them manna in the morning and quail in the evening.  Look at my friend pretending to gather manna in his basket and the other friend catching quail for everyone. We went on to talk about all the things God provides for us. Have a conversation with your child about all that God provides for your family.
