Apples: Friday

Our morning message today was God wants us to obey him!

Singing the alphabet and letter sound song.

It was hot outside but we still managed to have some fun!

At circle time we learned an apple poem and acted out the poem.
Way up high in the apple tree. I saw an apple smiling at me. I shook the tree as hard as I could and down came the apple mmm mmm good!

The kids had so much fun acting out the poem. They loved pretending to be a tall apple tree.
They also thought it was super silly to shake so their apple would fall to the ground!

Before choosing centers we balanced on an apple tree to pick an apple.

Look how hard everyone was working to balance on the tree

At centers we were apple to taste a red, yellow and green apple.
We talked about how each apple tasted.

Words we used to describe our apples included crunchy, sweet, juicy, sour and soft.
After tasting all the apples we graphed our favorite apple to eat.

Our class as a whole voted on yellow as their favorite apple!

We also started working on our September interviews. Each friend had the opportunity to share some special facts about themselves during the interview.

At Jesus time we practiced saying, "I'm sorry" and "I forgive you".
