Apples: Wednesday

                                                        Enjoying our morning free play!
                                                      "Baking" with our play dough.
Selling Apples in our Market this morning.

                                                       Reading our morning message.
The message today was Apples grow on trees in an apple orchard.

                                                                      Outside Fun

We were excited to go to God's house for chapel this morning.

We celebrated baptismal birthdays with Mr. Debrick. We also talked about how God washes away our sins. Mr. Debrick had dirt on his hands but the water washed away the dirt... Mr. Debrick then explained that this is alot like Jesus washing away our sins.

Our offering helper bringing offering up to the altar.

Our calendar and meteorologist helper for the day!
At centers we read, Apples, Apples, Apples.   This was a great book that taught us so much about apples. The family in the story went apple picking and made a special apple pie at the end.  After reading the story we went apple picking in our classroom.
After picking an apple we sorted the apples by color.

We learned a fun apple picking song to sing while each friend "picked" an apple.

After everyone picked all the apples we looked to see which color had the most and least apples. We then counted the different groups of apples. There were 9 red apples, 5 yellow apples and 1 green apple.

Working on our fine motor skills while "baking " apple pies. We cut little apples with scissors  to bake into our apple pies.

We finished our how many apples tall project ! We have a picture of us being measured with apples outside of the classroom. Check it out :)
Measuring different items in the block area with apples.

Loading up apples in our trucks.
Where do you think the apple trucks go? Do the trucks take apples to the grocery store?

After baking apples into our pie we counted the number of apples we used!
We were very proud of our apple pies. The apple pies were sent home today so check and see if your child made one for you!
