Apples: Week 2-Friday

Our morning message reminded us that God wants us to help one another.
We also discussed ways we can help one another.

We had fun in the commons this morning!

Our calendar helper counting the eleven days of September.
At circle time we had an apple and apple seeds sink or float experiment.
Before the actual experiment we all took turns predicting if the apple and apple seeds would sink or float.

We compared the apple seed and apple to help us predict what the outcome of the experiment might be.

We counted down from ten and discovered that the apple floats
and that the apple seeds sunk to the bottom.

We also reviewed all we learned about apples this week and discussed different foods that we make with apples. At centers we all took turns identifying foods that have apples in them.

We raced apples in the block area with our ramps.
After identifying some apple foods we graphed our favorite apple food.

We also cooked and sold apple foods in our dramatic play area.

And after we graphed our favorite apple food we were able to drink some apple juice!

Check out your child's favorite apple food! To take this activity a step further you could even bake an apple food with your child this weekend.

At Jesus time we sang a song to the tune of the ants go marching two by two. The song was a huge
hit and we all took turns marching like different animals around the ark. The song helped remind us that God loves us and protects us.
