Farm: Monday

Reading books in the Jesus area!
                                                                 Morning Free Play

Our morning message today talked about how when we behave badly we have consequences.

                                              Enjoying the beautiful weather outside.

                                                     Our Letter and Number helpers!

Counting the 14 days of September
Our meteorologist for the day said it was going to be a partly cloudy and sunny day.

At circle time we talked about the animals that live on the farm. We then read Old MacDonald's farm.
After the book we told acted out a story bout Old MacDonald taking care of his animals on the farm.
We then sang Old MacDonald and sang the sounds of all the different farm animals!

Shucking corn in the sensory table at centers time. Ask your child how the outside and inside of the corn felt? Discuss the differences.

We worked on identifying and writing the letters in our names.

We all started making our own farm and farm animals. Look for your child's in their backpack? Ask them to identify the different animals on the farm. Also, make sure to ask them how they would take care of these animals if they were a farmer.

Don't forget to sing Old MacDonald had a farm with your child too! The children really enjoyed making the different animal sounds. Feel free to to be silly and make the wrong farm animal sound....see if your child corrects you!

At Jesus time we worked hard to build a tower together. Unfortunately, the tower fell down. After attempting to build our own tower we learned about another tower that fell down. This tower was called the Tower of Babel. We talked about how the people who build this tower behaved badly. They thought they did not need God, therefore God taught them a lesson and had all the people speak in different languages which made it impossible for them to communicate. We then remembered the morning message discussed that there are consequences for behaving badly.
We went on to further discuss how important it is to always have God in our lives. We discussed that we need God's help daily.
