Farm: Week 2- Monday

Our morning message informed us that God wants us to be patient!

Our calendar helper leading us in counting the 21 days of September!
At circle time we read, When the Leaf Blew In. After the story we we talked about cause and effect. We discussed that the leaf blowing into the barn caused a lots of silly things to happen on the farm.
After the discussion we all blew a leaf onto different "farm animals". We all took turns blowing the leaf and acting like a silly farm animal when the leaf blew in!

We also talked about how and why a farmer shears sheep. We watched a quick clip on the smart board showing us how farmers shear sheep.
Ask your child what products are made from the wool of sheep?
We took turns "shearing" sheep at centers time with shaving cream and a popsicle stick.
Shearing sheep is a great messy play activity that helps strengthen our fine motor skills.

Messy play also helps us response to sensory input and helps us function in the environment.

We also built letter H's with our handwriting without tears lines.
During this activity we are building and writing as a means of expression and communication.

Ask your child to make the H sounds. Also, identify different words that start with the letter H.

After building the letter H we also practices writing the letter H.

At Jesus time we learned about Abraham and Sarah and how God promised to bless them with a baby. We discussed how God always follows through with his promises. Abraham and Sarah had a baby named Isaac a year after God made the promise to them!
