Farm: Week 2- Thursday

Morning Free Play

One of our friends helped write morning message this morning. She suggested that our morning message should remind us to be patient and kind friends. So our morning message said, "Remember to be kind and patient with your friends."

Our meteorologist said it was going to be sunny today!

Mrs. Stahl came and visited us. She shared a bible story  and binocular with us. We all had fun listening to the story and looking through binoculars.

After doing her special activity with us. Mrs. Stahl shared information about Sunday school.  Check your child's backpack for more information  on all the fun Sunday school has to offer for your child.

At centers we acted out our Jesus time story about Abraham, Sarah and baby Isaac.

We planted lima beans today. We made our own little sprout houses to bring home. Put your child's sprout house in a window where it will receive sunshine to help it sprout.
Observe the results with your child over the next couple days. We're hoping to see several sprouts emerge from the lima bean.

We also continued our Little Red Hen activity and discussed if we would help the Little Red Hen.

At Jesus time we talked about how babies are such a special gift to families. We each got a turn to rock our baby and sing Jesus Loves Me to our baby.

After holding the baby we talked about Abraham and Sarah. We discussed how God promised them a large family. We discussed that Abraham and Sarah were very patient and waited for baby Isaac and their wait was long but the end result was such a blessing.  Baby Isaac was such a special gift for Abraham and Sarah. We then discussed how waiting can be hard but God wants us to be patient. We then shared with one another a time we had to be patient and wait.

We also went outside to harvest different crops like a farmer does.

Each friend found a different crop to harvest.
After all the friends "harvested their crop"...they shared the crop they found in the field.

Ask your child what they "harvested" in the field?

After harvesting the different crops in the field we exercised outside on the field!
