Farm:Wednesday

We  measured the length of different farm animals using legos this morning.

This activity was great for making comparisons. The chick was the shortest farm animal and the cow was the longest!

During morning message we learned that we are part of a community.

Our calendar helper counting the 16 days of September.
Our meteorologist for the day predicted a sunny day!

At circle we read, The Cow that Clucked. We helped the cow find her moo! We also discussed how cows provide us with milk to drink.
At centers we worked on the letter F. We all took turns building the letter F with a big line and then two little lines.

We also decided to have some fun and pretend to "milk" a cow. Check out what we used as udders.
The children were very focused on aiming the "milk" into the containers.

This activity was also great to encourage use to use our fine motor skills for purpose and control.

We had a fire drill this morning. We talked about the importance of having a plan in case there would be a fire. Ask your child where our safe spot is for fire drill?

At Jesus time Zippy the puppet was very happy he won first place in a race. He seemed a little too concerned about himself so we reminded him that it is important to be humble and reminded him that God gave him his talent to run so fast. He remembered that we should always be thankful to God for our abilities and talents.
We then learned the bible verse of the week by passing blocks . We all took turns saying Seek first the kingdom of God!
We then sang, Amigos de Christo which means friends of the Lord.
We each found a friend to hold hands and leave the carpet with after Jesus time.
