Three Little Pigs: Wednesday

This morning at free play we made houses like the three little pigs.

Our morning message today said that we were celebrating Kiera's birthday today!
We also discussed the importance of focusing our attention on the teacher or activity we are doing at preschool! When we focus we gain so much more information about what we are suppose to do.
We found a bag with an "attention-scope" to help remind us how to focus.

Each friend took a turn focusing on a friend and looking through the "attention-scope"

Enjoying the nice cool weather outside this morning!

Today we celebrated Kiera's Birthday. She will turn 5 tomorrow!

Thank you for sharing the yummy cookies.

Our calendar and meteorologist helper for the day!
Our meteorologist said it was a very cloudy and windy day.

We acted out the Three Little Pigs at circle time.

Here is our big bad wolf blowing down Pig #2's  house of sticks.
Pig #1 and Pig #2 ran to Pig#3's brick house.
The big bad wolf huffed and puffed but couldn't blow over the brick house.
He climbed on the roof and went down the chimney but the pigs put a pot of boiling water in the fireplace to keep them safe. The big bad wolf learned to never bother the three pigs again.
Group #2 acting out the story!
The big bad wolf asking, "Little Pig, little pig let me in !" Pig #1 saying, "Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!"

We acted out the story several times to make sure everyone got a turn to act out the story! Everyone did a great job with their parts as well as watching in the audience.

                                                                    Here is group #3 .

The big bad wolf said, "Little pig, little pig let me in."

Here is group #4 acting out the story!

Working on drawing mat man at centers time.
We also built mat man in the block area

We also discussed and drew a picture of our favorite part of the Three Little Pigs
Some of our favorite scenes included the pigs building their houses, the wolf falling into the pot of water and the pigs saying chinny chin, chin!

At Jesus time we discussed the story of Jacob. We talked about how Jacob lied and tricked his father. We also discussed how Jacob asked for forgiveness and was reminded that God is always with us no matter where we go. We then played a game with Zippy giving him a happy cheer when he showed kindness and a sad thumbs down when he lied or was unkind.
