Apples: Tuesday

                                                                  Morning Free Play

Exploring Oats in the sensory table.

Making Apple Pies with yellow, red and green play dough.

Our Morning Message today was Today is the First Day of September!

Singing the Alphabet and Letter Sound song to kick off our day!

Calendar helper counting the first day in September!
Our meteorologist telling us it's going to be a sunny and hot day.

At circle we each took a turn working on positional words and placing apples in our apple tree on the  smart board. This activity helps us use our fine motor skills with purpose and control but also helps expand our vocabulary.
Can you place the apple under the tree?

Can you place the apple in the tree?
Can you place the apple on top of the tree?

Can you place the apple beside the tree?

My friends did a great job with this activity and LOVED drawing apples on the smart board.

We measured how tall we are with apples.

Friends selling apples in the apple market!

Ms. Cruz also followed up our positional words activity at circle with a positional words apple tree game at centers too. We used poms poms to place apples in between, under, on top of and behind the tree.

After being measured we all drew a picture of how many apples tall we are. We also talked about what we are taller then and shorter then.

At Jesus time we learned that God forgives us even though satan( the sneaky snake) sometimes tempts us to make sad choices. We played a game talking about different things the sneaky snake tempts us to do but followed up by asking God for forgiveness. This Jesus time helped teach us that we need to ask God for forgiveness and say sorry.

We made a thank you card for Elliot and James. We thought a card would be a nice way to thank them for making us our class play dough this month. We LOVED playing with the new play dough and had tons of fun using it to make apple pies today.
